SACBW Recognition Awards

RESILIENCE REALISED 2022

BACKGROUND

“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Giving recognition when it is due is sometimes the best reward anyone can hope for!  The SACBW has changed its annual competition to a recognition awards function.  Because we don’t compete – we collaborate!  And to celebrate the achievements of our members during these difficult times we have decided that our theme will be “Resilience Realised”.  We have seen it in action – how women that have suffered a loss on a business or personal level have risen again.  They are standing tall in their communities and have taken on the challenge of rebuilding their lives and businesses.

The gala event is one of the annual highlights for the SACBW and usually takes place around October.  In 2022 our host branch will be Mossel Bay, the 2021 Branch of the Year.

The awards have 7 categories, namely the Business Woman of the Year, Mentor-Mentee of the Year, Warrior Woman of the Year, Branch and Province of the Year, Collaboration Partner of the Year and Presidential Award.

As the SACBW, we believe that the economic empowerment of females can no longer be ignored.  Creating, forging, and seizing such empowerment opportunities can be successfully achieved by developing a leadership force.  Our Business Woman of the Year will be someone who is active in her business, in her family and in her local community – someone with a heart to uplift others whilst also making her mark in business.

We also want to be instrumental in developing a force of Warrior Women who will become role models, mentors, inspirers, and ultimate influencers.

Conscious leadership development activities for young leaders, both in and outside the Council, will give impetus to a legacy of impact of the Council.  The SACBW’s vision for the next decade is to impact and empower its leaders, members, and communities in a more measurable way. We want to transform effectiveness into greatness and leadership into a legacy!
