SACBW President for 2020/2021 elected

History was made on Friday, 23 October, when Hester du Bruyn, National Leader of the SA Council for Business Women in 2020, became the first past President to be elected again after 6 years. Her appointment was announced at the virtual 31st Annual General Meeting of the SACBW. The organisation has a legacy of 32 years with leaders like the Founder Mrs Rika Venter, the late Dr Annique Theron, Ms Winda Austin-Loeve, currently Director and Business Chamber President of the SBI and many other influential women!

“I am honoured and excited to continue to lead in 2021 with the assistance of the National Executive Team and the support of the Past Presidents and the members. The time is right now, more than ever, for the Business Women of South Africa to unite and to lead the business evolution. We have to be leaders with a conscience, speak with integrity, lead with authenticity and hold ourselves accountable” – Hester during her acceptance speech.

She reported at the AGM that the National Executive Team has worked hard during lockdown to bring members a number of outstanding informative webinars, relevant information and articles that empowered the business women with knowledge that assisted them during the pandemic.

Top 10 Ambassadors 2020 announced

Saturday, 24 October, was also a highlight for the Council when the organisation announced the TOP 10 Ambassadors for the SACBW for the year. These amazing business women told their inspirational stories and shared how they survived, and thrived, this challenging year. The TOP-10 Ambassadors of the SACBW are all dynamic business women with unique talents and competencies and will contribute to the vision of the SACBW in 2021. They are from Gauteng: Dimikatso Moloantoa; Cheyna Ross, Antoinette Pienaar (Presidential Award); from Mpumalanga: Delene de Lange, Tracy-Erin Duggan, Sandra Jacobs, Sylvia Maseko and Estelle Roe; from Western Cape: Lizette Gerber, Charlene Riley and Bianca van der Merwe.

Lynette Beer, well-known motivational speaker from Seeds of Inspiration, was awarded an honorary membership for her support to the Council the past few years.
