Cerita Nagy was born in Zeerust in the North West Province, and grew up in Groot-Marico. Her family relocated to Rustenburg when she was 13, she matriculated at Rustenburg High School and studied at the University of Pretoria. She is a loving wife, mother and a passionate entrepreneur. She is blessed with a marriage of 28 years, have 2 children, a son of 26 years and a daughter of 21. She is also a proud grandmother. Her family and loved ones play an important part of her life.
She is a passionate entrepreneur and started her own interior design and decorating business in 2000. In 2012 she started a new venture in wedding & event planning. Her creativity and fondness for all things beautiful and elegant in life and her expertise in bringing together a perfectly orchestrated project or event is the perfect combination for an inspired and dedicated interior designer and decorator, wedding and event planner.
She has been a member of the SACBW since 2011 and chairperson of the SACBW Centurion Branch in 2013 and was elected as National Vice President for 2014. In 2015 and 2016 she was elected as the National President of the SACBW and she says that the organisation assisted her to grow and develop skills in all aspects of her life. Christopher Reeve’s quote “Success is finding satisfaction in giving a little more than you take” is the core of her leadership. She believes that before you can lead, you must be willing to serve.
She is passionate about women and specially business women and believes that women are a precious gift from God and that women have the potential to make a difference in the world they live in. Women are visionaries, dreamers and believers, she strongly believes that if you educate the women, you educate the nation and if you empower a woman, you empower the nation. This will enable them to assist the next generation women and the youth to develop their full potential in life. Business women are role models to other women and it is their responsibility to mentor and empower all women in the country.
During her term as President of the SACBW she updated the Corporate ID of the Council. She founded various branches nationally to enlarge the footprint of the council nationally and to enable more business women to join and be empowered by the Council. She implemented the Regional Congresses nationally and hosted four congresses during 2015 and 2016. In 2016 she started the yearly Mentor & Young Entrepreneur High tea as she is passionate about mentorship and the youth, as they are the future business women of our country.
She served on the National Council of the AHI, now SBI (Small Business Institute) during her term as National President of the SACBW in 2015 and 2016. In 2017 she served as the Chair Person of the Women Affairs Desk of Expertise at the AHi. In 2015 she was nominated as a Top 100 Difference Maker in South Africa by an organisation, Difference Makers International SA.
She is a passionate daughter of God and recently started a new journey in life as the founder of her new business, Confident Women in Business. This is an online platform to inspire, support and encourage women in business who love God, to teach them to let Him be their strength, purpose and focus and align business with faith, with God and His Word.
She is an active Honorary Life Member of the SACBW and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Council.
